Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Europa League second leg vs Sevilla is now in…

Well, here we go! Manchester United take on Sevilla in their Europa League second leg tonight, with the Red Devils hopeful of earning progression into the final four.

Last week’s game didn’t end the way United would have wanted, though if they put in a similar performance here this evening, they should have enough firepower to get the job done – regardless of injuries.

Sevilla have turned into somewhat of a bogey side for the Old Trafford club, so righting those wrongs, over on their home patch, would send out a real message. An emphatic win here would work wonders for the confidence going into the end of season run-in, too.

United were fortunate on the injury front before this game, with Ten Hag getting four players back available for selection. All of whom have been included in the squad here. The team news is now in, so let’s give you the full rundown…

Check out our confirmed MUFC XI vs Sevilla in full here:

David de Gea was always going to start in between the sticks on his return to his homeland. Let’s hope he has a quiet evening in the offing.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays in the right-back position, meaning Diogo Dalot keeps his spot in the left-back slot after an excellent outing over the weekend. Harry Maguire starts and captain’s the side, alongside Victor Lindelof.

Casemiro plays in that defensive midfield position, giving the Reds a real foundation to build on from. Christian Eriksen plays in a huge quarter-final here, looking to continue his good form from the weekend. Marcel Sabitzer is back fit. He replaces the suspended Bruno Fernandes.

Anthony Martial has looked sharp since returning from injury, so he’ll lead the line in this one. To his right and left respectively is Antony and Jadon Sancho. The pair will have to be at their creative best against a resilient Sevilla defence.

  1. Lots of mistakes by Man.Utd. How come they are not so alert and some of them are not fit enough to run and instead of passing and passing all the time?
    Their passing is terrible.
