The confirmed MUFC XI for the game vs Spurs at home is now in…
Manchester United Football Club take on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford this afternoon, with the Red Devils looking to get one over on their top four rivals.
Make no mistake about it, this game will not be easy. The 20-time Premier League champions will have to be at their best to overcome Antonio Conte’s side, fronted by Harry Kane.
No doubt Spurs will look to sit back, soak up pressure and try to hit United on the counter-attack. It’s up to the Reds to be wise to it – on both sides of the ball.
Anyway, the all-important team news is now in, with the boss, Erik ten Hag, naming a super strong starting line-up, making just the one change from the 0-0 draw over the weekend.
Check out the confirmed MUFC XI vs Spurs in full here:
David de Gea does keep his place in between the sticks, with the Spaniard undoubtedly the first choice in this area of the field at the moment. What’s intriguing is that Tom Heaton is named on the bench over Martin Dubravka.
Diogo Dalot has been playing really well this term, so he gets the nod here. Over on the left-hand side of defence, Luke Shaw keeps his place over Tyrell Malacia. Lisandro Martinez starts at centre-back, alongside Raphael Varane.
Casemiro is enjoying a real run in the line-up at the moment so he’s looking to keep that momentum flowing here. Fred starts alongside his Brazil compatriot once more, with Bruno Fernandes starting in the number ten slot.
Marcus Rashford leads the line, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in this one. No doubt his pace and work ethic is the main thought behind that. To his right and left respectively is Antony and Jadon Sancho.

Yes it was a superb performance but we as fans comment on the ability of the players as sometimes they are proving to be good players and so when it is not there in some games, we tend to ask questions or even advise players or talk about where they went wrong. It is in the best interest of our players and not with the intention of verbally abusing the players or even as some may see it as criticism.
The point we would like to see is that our players have got alot of potential but that at times they are switching off.
The main thing is that they need to have is that same playing momentum not only in yesterday’s game and consistently most of the
time. As this is the well wishes of the fans in order to let the players know that if they perform on this level always, then that anything is achievable. They can even surprise the world by reaching the top most level of the table.
