Confirmed MUFC XI vs West Ham (Premier League home, 2021/22)

Our confirmed MUFC XI for the game vs Aston Villa is now in…

Manchester United take on West Ham United in the Premier League today, in a massive game for the Red Devils’ top four hopes.

Ralf Rangnick’s side have been better of late, though there’s still much work to be done for the German tactician.

Three points here, against David Moyes no less, would leave us in a far better spot in the chase for Champions League football. That’s easier said than done, mind, against a side that excel on the counter-attack.

We’re going to have to be tight-knit at the back, while it’s probably going to take at least a couple of goals to win this one. Anyway, the team news is now in…

Check out the confirmed MUFC XI vs Aston Villa in full here:

David de Gea keeps his place in between the sticks which was a given here.

Diogo Dalot remains at the right-back slot ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka who is ill. Luke Shaw misses out, with Alex Telles starting on the left. Harry Maguire comes into the squad in place of Victor Lindelof, with Raphael Varane making up the back four.

Scott McTominay has overcome injury to make himself available for this one. Let’s hope he’s as close to 100% as possible. Fred starts with Bruno Fernandes playing as the most advanced midfielder.

Cristiano Ronaldo is another who has overcome a minor issue to be fit to play here, with Anthony Elanga and Mason Greenwood on either side of the talismanic striker.

There’s plenty of quality on the bench, too, should we need it.
