Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League home game vs West Ham is now in…
Manchester United have the chance to move into joint third if they can win their two games in hand. For a developing Erik ten Hag side, that’s not a bad position to be in.
Next up is a tough test against West Ham United, who are finding their groove under David Moyes this term. Make no mistake about it, this one will not be easy – and it’s an entirely different game than last week.
Our opponents will look to hit us on the break, squeezing out all the space in the middle, making it hard for United to break them down. It’s why creativity from their attacking midfielders is absolutely key.
Anyway, the team news is now in, with the Old Trafford club forced into one key change.
Check out our confirmed MUFC XI for the 2022/23 Premier League home game vs West Ham here:
David de Gea starts in between the sticks as per usual, with the superstar Spaniard hoping to continue his good form of late.
Diogo Dalot will play, as his long-term future at the club remains up in the air due to a winding down contract. Luke Shaw has improved over the last few games, so he will start. Lisandro Martinez could be in for a tough test against a physical West Ham attack, he’ll be partnered by Harry Maguire, who is now back from injury and wearing the armband.
Casemiro has been exceptional since breaking into the team and he was always going to play in this one. Christian Eriksen’s on-ball creativity could be key against this firm West Ham defence, with Bruno Fernandes also starting. He’ll play in the #10 slot.
Cristiano Ronaldo does lead the line here, meaning Marcus Rashford will likely be playing in a more familiar left-wing role. Anthony Elanga completes the front three, with Antony missing out due to picking up a knock in training.

Congrats to our hero Rashford who did it again. Brilliant header. Also Dalot what a great dive to save that ball. Also to our Martinez who is such an excellent defender. Eriksson and Luke Shaw keep doing those passes.
Impressive by all our players. Do not lose this game. Stick to your guns.
This second half has slowed the game and looks like United are standing and passing it too many times which is causing alot of mistakes and this could lead to them losing the game. They should lighten up the game with some fast forward running. We should try and get someone like Garnacho to liven up the game.
