Confirmed MUFC XI vs Wolves (Premier League away, 2021/22)

The confirmed MUFC XI for the away game vs Wolves has now been named by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United slumped to a draw last time out, with the Reds looking to put things right on the road against Wolves.

This is never an easy away game for Solskjaer’s men and we should expect another tricky affair here. That said, the quality at the disposal of our manager is almost unmatched in the Premier League these days – so anything less than a victory will be a poor result.

Changes were always expected here, with Solskjaer opting to start his two new summer arrivals for the first time. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how they get on.

Anyway, let’s get right into the all-important team news in full.

Check out the confirmed MUFC XI vs Wolves in full here:

David de Gea does keep his place in between the sticks, with Tom Heaton still deputising in Dean Henderson’s absence.

The back four sees one change. In steps Raphael Varane to partner Harry Maguire for the first time. Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka make up a back four with massive potential.

It looks like Fred is playing in that deeper midfield role in this one, with Nemanja Matic dropping to the bench. It also seems as though Paul Pogba has shifted into central midfield, with Bruno Fernandes completing the trio.

Mason Greenwood leads the line here, with the Englishman looking lethal to start this campaign. Jadon Sancho and Daniel James play on the wings, both can switch and change given how the game is going.

It’s also nice to see Edinson Cavani back on the bench, alongside Donny van de Beek, Victor Lindelof and Anthony Martial.

Come on you Reds!
