Manchester United could do their top-four aspirations the world of good with a victory away at Arsenal today. As you all know, though, going to The Emirates and winning isn’t easy.
The game itself should be exciting as these two sides have struggled defensively this season. Games against the old enemy are always fun, and United go into this one brimming with confidence.
Anyway, the starting line-up is in and there was always going to be changes made. I do feel sorry for both Scott McTominay and Andreas Pereira, though, who are both substitutes this afternoon.
David de Gea does start in goal, with United seemingly opting for a back four rather than a five. Ashley Young captains the side at right-back, with Luke Shaw playing over on the left. Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling have begun to form an excellent combination at the heart of our defence.
Nemanja Matic is back and his ability to sit at the base of midfield and break up play could well be key. Fred starts after what was his best performance in a Red shirt on Wednesday night, while Paul Pogba will be feeling fresh and ready to go.
Diogo Dalot gets the nod and rightly so. His position is unclear, but perhaps he’ll play off the right. Romelu Lukaku starts alongside Marcus Rashford up top.
