Manchester United’s attentions turn back to the bread and butter of the Premier League this weekend, with Jose Mourinho’s men probably feeling pretty tired after playing 120 minutes on Thursday night. We also play City in the derby this coming week, and the gaffer will have one eye on that.
The starting line-ups are in, and as expected, we’ve made plenty of changes. Wayne Rooney comes back into the mix for a rare start, and we desperately need our captain to step up and lead this team in Ibrahimovic’s absence.
Anthony Martial is another one who’ll be desperate to impress. It looks as though he is starting as the main striker so this is a massive opportunity for him. Marcus Rashford drops to the bench to have some well-earned rest.
The rest of the team is as strong as can be, with the likes of Eric Bailly, Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba all starting. We need a huge result to keep our top four hopes alive, if we drop points here, all our hopes would be pinned on Europa League glory.
Starting XI
De Gea, Darmian, Bailly, Blind, Young; Herrera, Fellaini, Pogba, Lingard, Rooney; Martial.
Subs: Romero, Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe, Shaw, Carrick, Mkhitaryan, Rashford.
