Manchester United take on Crystal Palace this evening, just days after Ole Gunnar Soslkjaer’s side were struck down with a massive injury bug.
No fewer than ten first-teamers could have been ruled out for tonight’s game against The Eagles, with the Baby Faced Assassin forced into ringing the changes…
Anyway, the team news for the game at Selhurst Park is in, and
David de Gea starts in goal, with Ashley Young captaining the side at right-back, while Luke Shaw plays opposite him on the left. Victor Lindelof continues alongside Chris Smalling. Diogo Dalot also plays, presumably as a third centre-back in a 3-5-2.
Scott McTominay sits at the base of the midfield, with a rare opportunity for Fred to prove his worth to the manager. Paul Pogba will be tasked with carving out the chances and doing what he does best.
The two up top, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, will have to work hard in this one. I expect a rusty performance from United due to so many enforced changes happening, but with these guys up front, you’ve always got a chance to score a few goals.
