Confirmed Starting XI: Everton vs Manchester United – Mkhitaryan starts

Manchester United head to Goodison Park this afternoon, with Jose Mourinho’s men looking to make up some ground on teams like Manchester City and Liverpool who both dropped points this weekend. The game won’t be straightforward, though, and Everton will be tough opposition.

The team news is in, and Manchester United have gone strong here. The gaffer will keep Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial in the side after brilliant performances on Wednesday night. There is also a starting spot for the returning Paul Pogba who is back from suspension.

David de Gea maintains his place in goal, and he’ll have Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia just in front of him. Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick will marshal the midfield.

It means that Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata will both have to settle for a spot on the bench which will be disappointing for them. However, it’s absolutely brilliant to see Eric Bailly back with the squad.

Full starting XI

De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Darmian; Carrick, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Pogba, Martial; Ibrahimovic

Subs: Romero, Bailly, Blind, Fellaini, Mata, Lingard, Rashford
