Confirmed Starting XI: FC Astana vs Manchester United (Europa League, 2019)

Manchester United take on FC Astana in Kazakhstan this afternoon, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men having already booked their place in the knockout stage.

The 20-time Premier League champions named a squad jam-packed with youth for the fixture, and the starting line-up named by the Baby Faced Assassin certainly reflects that.

No fewer than three full debuts have been given by Solskjaer, while a couple of other players make their return from injury. This is what being a United supporter is all about. For one, I can’t wait.

In goal, Lee Grant makes his full debut. He did take part in a cup game off the substitutes bench last term, but no doubt he’s relishing this opportunity.

Luke Shaw, the first of the injury returnees, starts at left-back. Next to him is Axel Tuanzebe, who’s also fresh off the treatment table. Di’Shon Bernard is a debutant at centre-half, as is Ethan Laird at right-back.

James Garner (hurrah!) starts, alongside Welshman Dylan Levitt at the heart of the midfield. These two will be going out with a serious point to prove, as this is an area where places in the team are definitely up for grabs.

Mason Greenwood leads the line. Jesse Lingard will captain the side from off the right-flank, while Tahith Chong will occupy the left-wing. Angel Gomes gets the nod in the #10 role.

Come on you Reds!
