Confirmed Starting XI: Man United vs Inter Milan (2019 tour)

Manchester United are two wins from two on pre-season tour, with the third game taking place today against Inter Milan.

This fixture sees the start of United’s International Champions Cup campaign, and it’s clear that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now looking to ramp things up a bit, naming his strongest starting line-up to date.

The team news comes from United’s official Twitter account, with the Baby Faced Assassin once again blending youth and experience in equal measure. Can I just say, that back four looks like a thing of beauty…!

David de Gea gets his first minutes of the tour in goal, hopefully, we’ll see our superstar Spaniard play for the duration of this one.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka starts as the right-back, while Luke Shaw, who is seemingly feeling good to go after picking up a slight hamstring issue, starts over on the left. There’s no debate that Victor Lindelof is now our best centre-back. He plays alongside Axel Tuanzebe, and it’ll be interesting to see how he goes against a quality Inter side.

Nemanja Matic captains the team sitting at the base of the midfield alongside Paul Pogba. It looks as though Jesse Lingard is playing just in front of those two. Look for his movement, pace and creativity.

Daniel James presumably gets the nod over on the left-wing, with Marcus Rashford possibly playing on the right and Anthony Martial starting through the middle. This three can all interlink and change positions, so expect to see fluid movement throughout.
