Manchester United’s final starting line-up of the season is in.
Jose Mourinho has named a strong side for the FA Cup final against Chelsea. The big news? Marcus Rashford at striker in Romelu Lukaku’s absence. The Belgium international will have to settle for a place on the bench.
To be honest, the rest of the team is pretty much as expected. David de Gea was always going to start, as were the two experienced full-backs of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young. There is no place in the team for Eric Bailly, with Phil Jones partnering Chris Smalling at the back.
I love the fact that we’ve gone with a three-man midfield. Ander Herrera’s energy, on-ball ability and desire to win was crucial in the semi-final against Tottenham. Don’t be surprised to see him do a man-marking job on Eden Hazard.
Alexis Sanchez loves Wembley Stadium. He’s scored eight goals in eight visits, and United will be hoping that trend continues. He’s been hit and miss this term, but we need a huge performance from our star man.
Anyone else feeling the nerves yet? Mine are jangling, but let’s hope the Red Devils can pull through and deliver the trophy. Come on lads!
