Manchester United head South to take on Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace side who have been in fantastic form of late. Louis van Gaal will be wanting to throw a real marker down here after a sloppy performance at home to Middlesbrough, resulting in his side being dumped out of the cup.
The team is pretty much as you’d expect with the exception of Phil Jones who is seemingly injured for the clash. Daley Blind starts in his place alongside Chris Smalling – who played for 120 minutes on Wednesday.
There is also a place on the bench for young Axel Tuanzebe, the 17-year old defensive midfielder who is currently the U18s youth player of the year. Hopefully if things are comfortable we could see him make his debut during the second half.
Starting XI:
De Gea, Darmian, Blind, Smalling, Rojo; Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger; Herrera, Mata, Martial; Rooney.
Subs: Romero, Tuanzebe, Young, Carrick, Lingard, Pereira, Fellaini.
