Confirmed Starting XI: Manchester United vs Kristiansund (tour 2019)

Manchester United’s penultimate game of their pre-season is here, with the Red Devils taking on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s hometown team, Kristiansund.

The game in Norway could well be the final chance for some players to prove that they deserve a place in the starting line-up for the game against Chelsea, which is now less than two weeks away.

Our Baby Faced Assassin has named a strong starting XI for this game, though, with the official club Twitter account confirming the team news just a few moments ago…

David de Gea starts in goal as he builds up those all-important fitness levels after missing the first couple of matches.

In front of the Spaniard is new signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back, while Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones make up the centre-back combination. Luke Shaw starts on the left-hand side of defence.

Nemanja Matic sits at the base of the midfield, with Scott McTominay playing presumably just in front of him in a two. This worries me as there’s not much creativity whatsoever here.

Jesse Lingard will likely start in the #10 role, while Daniel James, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford can all chop and change their positions whenever they feel like it. My guess is that Martial will start as the main striker.
