Manchester United’s penultimate pre-season game is here, as Jose Mourinho and his men take on Valerenga in Norway. The Red Devils’ preparations for the new Premier League season are almost complete, and this is another good run out for the lads ahead of the big kick-off.
The starting line-up is in, and somewhat to my surprise, the gaffer has named a supremely strong side. Personally, I thought we’d see plenty more youngsters involved, with Mourinho using it as an opportunity to take a look at youth. Outside of Fosu-Mensah, the team is made up of senior squad members.
Starting XI:
Romero, Fosu-Mensah, Bailly, Jones, Blind, Carrick, Fellaini, Pogba, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rashford.

Anyway, it just shows the desire of the gaffer to go out and win albeit in a friendly. It’s nice to see Juan Mata back involved after an injury, and he desperately needs a full game under his belt in this one.
Hopefully, the aforementioned Fosu-Mensah can put in another commanding performance as his stock continues to rise. I feel the Dutchman can have a huge season this term, that’s if he is presented with the opportunities his talent deserves.
Marouane Fellaini starts, despite recent reports linking him with a move to Galatasaray, and the bench is made up of the likes of Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Andreas Pereira.
