Manchester United take on Newcastle United this evening, with Louis van Gaal’s side trying to make it three wins in a row to start off 2016. The teams are in, and its mixed news regarding the starting line-up for our tricky trip up North.
David de Gea starts in goal, and he’ll have the same back four in front of him that managed to shut out Sheffield United at the weekend. Morgan Schneiderlin comes in as a central midfielder alongside Marouane Fellaini.
The front four is one of real promise. Jesse Lingard makes his first start since being out injured, with Ander Herrera, Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney all playing.
Starting XI
De Gea, Young, Smalling, Blind, Darmian, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Lingard, Herrera, Martial, Rooney.
Subs: Romero, Borthwick-Jackson, McNair, Weir, Mata, Pereira, Memphis.
