Manchester United head to Wembley Stadium this evening, to take on Mauricio Pochettino’s highly talented Tottenham Hotspur side.
Jose Mourinho’s boys will be in fine spirits following an excellent month of January, winning all five games so far. This is no doubt the toughest test of 2018 however, and the team news has just been confirmed by the club.

Mourinho is seemingly going bold here, playing a front four when many (myself included) thought he’d opt for a front three. Instead, Romelu Lukaku leads the line with Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez in behind him. It’s an attack that should score goals galore, starting tonight.
As expected, both Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba start in midfield and they’ll have a tough job to do as they look to protect the back four. Matic, in particular, will be tasked with picking up Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli, making sure he doesn’t give them too much space.
I guess the only other surprise in the line-up is the lack of Luke Shaw. The young Englishman has been in fine form over the last two months, but Mourinho has opted to go for the tried and tested Ashley Young at left-back.
Come on Reds!
