Manchester United football returns. Jose Mourinho has named his first ever starting line-up in charge at Old Trafford, and he’s named a strong side with the players he has at his disposal. There is also a couple of debuts, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly included.
The best part about this line-up is the fact that Luke Shaw is included in a team for the first time in almost a year, and it’s absolutely superb to see him back involved. He worked tirelessly from the minute the injury occurred to get himself back on the field as quickly as possible, and hopefully he can have a superb season – and stay fit.
Despite plenty of players being on holiday after participating in the European Championships, Mourinho still has a lot of talent to choose from.
Starting XI
Johnstone, Fosu-Mensah, Bailly, Blind, Shaw, Carrick, Herrera, Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Memphis, Wilson.
Subs: J Pereira, Blackett, Jones, Tuanzebe, Varela, Januzaj, Mata, A Pereira, Valencia, Young, Keane.
