Cristiano Ronaldo all-smiles with April Premier League Player of the Month award

Man United’s Cristiano Ronaldo has won his second Premier League Player of the Month award this season.

Although Manchester United’s season has been a disappointing one on the whole, the Red Devils undoubtedly have something to build on from going forward.

There are a few players within this side who are up to the challenge. It’s up to Erik ten Hag to build around those guys, while sprinkling in some youth players and a few signings.

Working from the ground up takes time. Though you know what helps? Having the Greatest of All Time to call upon. Cristiano Ronaldo is exactly that in our opinion.

Ronaldo has been simply sublime at the back end of this season, scoring goals for fun in a completely misfiring team. Just imagine how many he’d bag in the Manchester City or Liverpool side, for instance?

Anyway, that didn’t stop Ronaldo from being named the April 2022 Premier League Player of the Month. This was his second award this season and his sixth in his career. That’s mightily impressive!

We’re just very lucky to have a serial winner like him dragging us over the finish line. I’d genuinely dread to think how far down the table we’d be without Ronaldo this term.

With just one game left, it’s now time to start looking forward. You’d like to think the Portugal superstar will feature heavily in Ten Hag’s plans. Heck, what coach wouldn’t want to work with the GOAT?

To score 24 goals in this United team, aged 37, is an incredible achievement. Individually, that has to be up there with some of the finest accomplishments in his illustrious career.

And I’m supposed to believe Cristiano Ronaldo is finished, huh?
