Cristiano Ronaldo dealing with injury, will miss Palace game

Cristiano Ronaldo will not feature against Crystal Palace in Man United’s final game of the season due to injury.

Manchester United Football Club will draw the curtain on an extremely forgettable season tomorrow. The Old Trafford club have struggled in large portions this term, under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

There’s no doubt an attitude reset is required to turn things around. The dressing room has become far too comfortable over the last few seasons – and hopefully, Erik ten Hag can kickstart things at the Theatre of Dreams.

With the Dutchman set to be in attendance tomorrow, the lads will likely want to put a little more effort in than they have done recently. However, one man who will not get the chance to impress the new gaffer is Cristiano Ronaldo…

The key star will miss the Palace game with a hip problem, dealing United a late injury blow. The story comes from Sky Sports News, who state that Ronaldo will not feature in our finale.

With United struggling for goals outside of their number seven, this is a huge loss. I know there’s very little to play for against Palace tomorrow, but surely we’d like to end this disappointing season on a high?

Ronaldo has been by far and away our best player over the last few months, hence why he won the April Player of the Month award with relative ease. Make no mistake about it, this match will be much tougher without him.

In terms of replacements, we could see Edinson Cavani start on his farewell appearance. Failing that, this is an ideal opportunity for Marcus Rashford to show Ten Hag that this season has been nothing but a blip.

Do you think Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at the club beyond the summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
