Cristiano Ronaldo disillusioned at Man United, talks planned: report

Cristiano Ronaldo could look to leave Man United this summer…

Last summer, I think it’s fair to say we Manchester United fans were at our happiest when it was announced that Cristiano Ronaldo was coming home.

For years, we’d dreamt of this moment. It would finally happen and credit has to go to the club for spending big to do exactly that.

After a bright start for Ronaldo, the questions about his overall fit have started to be raised. Ronaldo is now getting up there in age and simply put, he’s past his peak.

He’s now without a goal in his last five games – the longest streak in his career for a decade. No doubt being benched for the Burnley game would’ve had Ronaldo pretty frustrated. After all, he’s not used to being forced to sit amongst the substitutes.

Well, the Daily Star go one further in an exclusive. They reckon that Ronaldo ‘could look to leave’ as his United dream has turned into a ‘nightmare’.

Apparently, the key reds star is left ‘disillusioned’ with how things are going back at United – and he’s set for face-to-face talks with Jorge Mendes. Ronaldo, understandably, is looking to assess his options ahead of the summer transfer window.

In amongst Ronaldo’s struggles for any sort of form, it’s written that the Portugal star has also struggled to form a positive relationship with interim boss Ralf Rangnick. In regards to that, the German is only around until the summer before he moves upstairs in a consultancy capacity.

Look, Ronaldo is a winner. He never settles for second best and that’s why he’s considered the best to ever do it. I really do think he’s finding it tougher at United than he initially thought. Hence, Ronaldo is already looking to find a way out…
