Cristiano Ronaldo may not make his Man United debut against Newcastle United after all…

Manchester United Football Club pulled off the spectacular when they brought Cristiano Ronaldo home.

The Portuguese superstar was officially confirmed as a Red Devil on transfer deadline day. Then, shortly after, Ronaldo would represent his country over the international break. He’d score two fantastic headers, but pick up a booking and an international suspension.

That meant Ronaldo would get to Manchester earlier, all-but-confirming his availability to start against Newcastle United this weekend. Well, that could also be in doubt…

The story comes from The Sun, who state that Ronaldo may not make his second United debut this weekend, with the Reds possibly made to wait until Tuesday against Young Boys in the Champions League.

Apparently, it comes about due to quarantine rules, with The Sun claiming that Ronaldo will not train with his new Reds teammates until Friday – meaning he’d have just one day of work under his belt before the Newcastle game on Saturday.

Understandably, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may deem that as too soon, with Ronaldo probably starting this one from off the substitutes bench.

The Sun also states that Ronaldo will still be introduced to the Old Trafford crowd – in a Raphael Varane-esque manner before kick-off.

It sadly looks like the United fans won’t be around for Ronaldo’s debut, with supporters not allowed to head to Bern for that game next Tuesday.

No doubt Ronaldo will get an insane reception from the fans this weekend regardless of whether he plays or not. You’d also like to think United will have more than enough firepower to win all three points against Newcastle, regardless of who plays.

Should Man United risk Ronaldo against Newcastle? Or give him an extra few days training? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
