Cristiano Ronaldo (who else?) Has been named in WhoScored’s Team of the Week after our win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United Football Club have been a real mixed bag this season. If we’re honest with ourselves, the performances haven’t been anything close to good enough.
It all comes down to the manager. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future remains up in the air, though it’s definitely fair to say the players are performing from him.
Our Baby Faced Assassin’s side is spearheaded by Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portugal star is leading from the front in regards to supporting his manager, with the 36-year-old scoring goals galore.
He’d send United on their way with an unreal outing last time out, scoring the opener in brilliant fashion, before assisting the Reds’ second. For his performance, Ronaldo is the one United star in WhoScored’s latest statistical Team of the Week.

Ronaldo scored an impressive 8.53, while his overall performance left a positive impression on anyone who watched it. Gone are the claims that the Portuguese won’t put in his fair share of effort. He’s always working hard on and off the ball.
I’d wager that if Ronaldo was kept on for the full 90, he’d have been right up there in the 9s, battling Reece James for the top player of the week. United recognised they had bigger fish to fry, taking him off and allowing the GOAT to rest up ahead of our game vs Atalanta tonight.
The Old Trafford club had three players in the BBC Team of the Week, including Ronaldo, I’d make a strong case that Raphael Varane, Edinson Cavani and Scott McTominay should’ve also been included in this one.
