Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a heartfelt message to the Man United fans upon his return.
Manchester United have made it official. Cristiano Ronaldo is a Red Devil once again. The Portugal star brought us so much joy during his first stint at the Theatre of Dreams. Now, it’s time for one last dance.
I’ll be the first to admit it. I never thought this would happen. At the ripe old age of 36, Ronaldo will play in that famous red strip once again – for at least the next two years.
What I loved most about this move was the surprise aspect of it all. Recently, transfer sagas have become completely predictable and monotonous. This one came out of absolutely nowhere. From joining Manchester City, to coming home to United within the space of about three hours. It was spectacularly brilliant.
Now it’s all official, Ronaldo has had his say, taking to his social media to send a lovely message to the United family, including a certain Sir Alex Ferguson…

Honestly, I love this. It still feels so surreal. I don’t think Ronaldo realised just how much us fans adored him until after he left – which is why he wanted to come back and help us win trophies once again.
Just let it sink in. The finest footballer of his generation is back at our club. It really is the stuff dreams are made of.
Ronaldo loves this club. We love him. It’s the perfect match at this stage in time and, with his help, I’d like to think we can line the trophy cabinet with at least one or two things this season.
