Cristiano Ronaldo showing ‘excellent attitude’ in training

Cristiano Ronaldo has still been setting the tone in training, despite wanting to move away from the club.

Manchester United Football Club have a massive dilemma on their hands. Yesterday, we discovered that Anthony Martial picked up an injury, ruling him out of our opening game.

The Erik ten Hag plan was up in smoke just like that. Martial should have led the line against Brighton. Now, who knows what’s going to happen?

Cristiano Ronaldo is the major wildcard. The Portugal star has one half of football under his belt, largely due to the fact he doesn’t actually want to be at United anymore.

Does Ten Hag throw him straight in at the deep end? Well, it’s absolutely a possibility.

The good news for Ten Hag is that according to the Daily Mail, the United star is displaying an ‘excellent attitude’ in training, despite the fact he actually wants to leave.

According to Chris Wheeler, Ronaldo is staying behind after the normal training session has finished, working on his shooting with Bruno Fernandes, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Alejandro Garnacho. I guess that elite mentality is why he’s at the top of his sport.

To us here at Old Trafford Faithful, it feels like an increasing possibility that Ronaldo is forced to remain at the club – purely because there have been no suitable offers made.

I believe that United were open to a sale of Ronaldo, assuming the price was right. Obviously, no club has come in with an offer deemed suitable, hence, the 37-year-old remains a Red Devil for now.

The problem Martial now has is that he may find it tough to get back into the line-up. Ronaldo ALWAYS scores. I do not see that changing any time soon.

  1. Ronaldo is ever ready to play football at all times, he should be included in the first team against Brighton.
