One of Manchester United’s best signings over the last couple of years has been Daley Blind without a shadow of a doubt, and the Dutchman’s versatility is one of his key traits. He has been speaking to the media about what he feels his best position is.
“I think I can still play at left-back and in midfield, but right now I feel good at centre-back.” Blind began. “It’s great to have the game in front of me and be a part of building from the back with my forward passes to start attacks.”
When he came in he was used as the back four protector and he did that job superbly. His passing is more than adequate enough to be an accomplished midfielder, but under the current circumstances, centre-back is without doubt his most productive position – but over the long-term I’d like to see him shifted further up the pitch.
