Dan Gore suffers injury setback, set to miss Man United pre-season

Man United will not have Dan Gore available for pre-season after the midfielder has suffered an injury.

Manchester United Football Club were struck hard by the injury bug last season. Sadly, that doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon…

The Old Trafford club were super unfortunate with treatment table woes all campaign long. Well, it looks as though the 2024/25 term will start in a similar vein…

The Manchester Evening News have provided an unfortunate update on the fitness of Dan Gore. The midfielder dislocated his shoulder during a personal training session.

As a result, the United starlet is set to miss pre-season tour following the setback. He has undergone surgery on the shoulder and is said to be hoping for a return during the ‘early weeks’ of the season.

The teenager would have surely been given meaningful minutes over in the United States due to the sheer volume of Reds who are representing their countries, meaning their return to pre-season will be delayed.

Sadly, Gore will now be forced to watch on from home after suffering this freak injury.

This would have been another opportunity for the midfielder to showcase his talents after a pretty disappointing calendar year. Gore struggled to break into the Port Vale team during a loan, after looking like the real deal during last season’s tour.

Thankfully, Gore is still so young aged just nineteen. Time is on his side and this injury shouldn’t derail what promises to be an excellent career. Let’s just hope that the talent can overcome the issue sooner rather than later and get back out on the field.

You’d assume that another loan move could be in the offing, assuming he can get back fit in time for the transfer window to still be open. Hopefully, a Championship club gives him a chance to prove his worth in 2024/25.
