Daniel James scored the winning goal for Wales against the Czech Republic last night, capping off a brilliant international display. The Manchester United fans would react in their droves.
Just like Donny van de Beek, Daniel James would score for his country last night. For the Welshman, though, he’d net the winner against the Czech Republic in the 80th minute.
James has recently rediscovered his best form for both club and country and it’s always nice to see that happen, particularly when you’re copping stick from your own fans.
Credit where it’s due, James never gave in, continued to work hard and repaid the faith shown in him by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He’s ending this season just how he started life in Manchester – in superb style.
Last night for Wales, James would not only score the winner with a great header, but his overall performance was one filled with promise. He’d make direct runs, try to make things happen on the counter-attack and also defend with diligence.
Suddenly, the £12m paid to sign James is looking like excellent value. Sure, nobody is expecting him to start week-in-week-out for the Red Devils, but he can come into the side and impact games in a positive way. We have to be happy with his output over the last couple of months – and long may that continue.
As you’d expect, the Man United fans would react in their droves to the 23-year-old’s top display for his country. What a performance. What a moment.
