In his time at Barcelona, Dani Alves emerged as one of the best right-backs in the world. The Brazilian-born wingback has won it all in his time at the Nou Camp, and many expected him to leave in the summer. However that didn’t happen, but it is expected that Alves will be available on a free transfer next summer, with many clubs interested in signing him.
According to The Express, Manchester United are leading that race. They faced competition from fellow Premier League sides in the form of Liverpool and Chelsea, but it looks as though United are on course to win that battle although no final decision will be made until the new year.
Speaking to Spanish television show Neox, Gallardo said: “The player will leave Barcelona next season. He has signed a preliminary agreement with Manchester United.”
