Manchester United’s attacking duo of Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney both start for England as the Three Lions take on Peru at Wembley tonight. Rooney was always going to start, although I’m particularly happy to see Welbeck involved though, as he desperately needs all the minutes he can get.
This is the final game on home turf before Roy Hodgson’s men jet off to begin their overseas preparations for the World Cup. I’m slightly disappointed not to see probable Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw not involved, as he misses out with a head cold.
Thats arguably England’s best XI available, although you could make a case for Raheem Sterling to be starting in place of Danny Welbeck.
Who would you start? Welbeck or Sterling? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below.
Complete England XI
