Danny Welbeck will miss Arsenal clash

Danny Welbeck is set to miss United’s Super Sunday showdown against Arsenal due to a knee problem. The striker has been out of action for almost a month due to the injury, and his stay on the sidelines looks set to continue. United will be looking for three points on Sunday, against a tricky Arsenal side who sit five points clear at the top of the table.

United themselves are unbeaten in eight and have won their last two league games to make up some ground on the seven teams that are above them.

“Hopefully, we’ll have a few players back, the only one who is not in contention is Danny Welbeck.

“He’s still suffering with his knee. But hopefully I’ll have the other ones in and around the squad. I’ll be able to make a decision tomorrow once I see how they all are.”

England manager Roy Hodgson has named Danny Welbeck in his squad for the upcoming England friendlies against Chile and Germany, so hopefully he’ll get some game time for the Three Lions.

Tom Cleverley, Michael Carrick and Rafael have all been injured recently and it’d be nice to have all three of these back for our biggest game of the season so far.
