Manchester United have seemingly gone into overdrive all of a sudden. Earlier today, we learned that a fee for Romelu Lukaku had been agreed. The 24-year-old Belgian forward is all set to become Jose Mourinho’s second signing of the summer.
Now, the usually reliable Manchester United source Craig Norwood has given his take on the situation, and he is claiming that Lukaku’s Manchester United debut may not be that far away; just nine days in fact, when the Red Devils take on the LA Galaxy on July 15th.
Welcome @RomeluLukaku9 to Manchester United. First game in red hopefully against LA Galaxy over in Los Angeles on 15th July.

It has been no secret that Manchester United have been desperate for a striker during this window, particularly with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract drawing to its conclusion.
Now, it seems that Mourinho has gotten his man. Lukaku is Premier League proven, scoring 25 goals in the top flight for Everton last term. You’d imagine that he’ll be wanting to improve on that, particularly with the quality of service into him significantly increasing when he moves to Old Trafford.
Hopefully, this deal can be pushed over the line before the squad jet off to begin their pre-season tour of the United States this coming Sunday. It will allow him plenty of time to get used to his new teammates, before the big Premier League kick-off next month.
