Manchester United Football Club have had one of the best goalkeepers in the world at their disposal over recent years, with David de Gea being one of the truly world class players in the starting eleven. However, recent reports hint at the possibility of the Spaniard departing from Old Trafford.
Sport Mediaset (via the Manchester Evening News), say that Manchester United are interested in signing Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan. The 17-year-old is making waves in the footballing world, and the fact that he is first choice goalkeeper at such a tender age is absolutely outstanding.
The report remains unclear as to whether Donnarumma would be a replacement for De Gea, but you’d imagine that’d be the case because he wouldn’t want to play second fiddle – particularly when he is playing so regularly at the moment.
Donnarumma’s ability has already been noticed by the international setup too, as he already has caps for Italy, which further shows just how highly regarded he is.
