Manchester United’s David de Gea has been by far and away the best goalkeeper in the Premier League this season. The Spaniard has made sensational save after world class blocks from the get-go, but United may well be about to lose their man.
According to the Spanish television channel La Sexta, De Gea has ‘said yes to Real Madrid’ and is ready for a summer move back to the capital.
The TV channel go on to add that no fee between the clubs is close to being agreed, and Madrid’s current shot-stopper Iker Casillas ‘isn’t a problem’ for De Gea.
They also go on to add that a ‘poor relationship’ between Van Gaal and the keeper is another reason why he wants to leave Old Trafford.
I think its inevitable that De Gea will leave for Madrid at some point, but it’d be nice if he shown some loyalty by penning a new deal and giving us maybe one or two more seasons beforehand.
