It looks as though the David de Gea saga is coming to an end. Yesterday Neil Custis of the Mirror reported that Madrid have agreed a deal for the Spaniard, and today that is backed up by claims that he has said his goodbyes to his United teammates as a move is imminent.
The news comes from the Daily Star, who say that Louis van Gaal is disappointed that he has lost his star man, and the search for a replacement is already well underway.
The replacement is a tough one. For me its a straight tossup between Petr Cech and Hugo Lloris. Cech is the cheaper, more safe option as he has plenty of Premier League experience, but his career won’t last as long.
Lloris is the riskier choice. He can make mistakes but alongside that he makes outstanding saves, he’d obviously be more expensive.
