Manchester United’s Spanish shot-stopper is set to sign a new Manchester United deal worth £90,000 a week, according to the Daily Mail. The 23-year old has been impressive for the last eighteen months, and established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the league.
Catalan side Barcelona are in the hunt for a new goalkeeper at the moment, and ensuring De Gea signs a new contract could prove crucial in making him stay. The Premier League team of the Year goalie still hasn’t earned his first cap for the Spanish national side, but if he continues his good form he could replace one of Pepe Reina or Victor Valdes.
The contract is a four-and-a-half year deal that’ll keep him at the club until June 2018.
