David de Gea subject of ludicrous Madrid opening offer

Manchester United’s hopes of keeping David de Gea at the club are truly hanging in the balance, with the 24-year old yet to decide on his long-term future close to a month after the season finished.

The resolution of this saga could be dragged out for some time yet though, as according to the Daily Mail, Madrid are preparing an opening offer of €13million for the Spanish international.

This is an embarrassing figure if true, and there is no way United will accept that fee – or even anything close to it.

Nonetheless it does look like we could eventually end up losing another player to Madrid, and I’m certain Louis van Gaal will a,ready know who he wants De Gea’s successor to be.

  1. Keeping in mind that he has only 1 year left on his contract I would still persist on 30 million pounds. Had it been some other club than Real I would have said that his practical valuation should be between 20 to 25 million pounds maximum but keeping in mind the amount of money Real squeezed from us for Di Maria and also the hardball games they are playing over other players like Bale and Benzema I would love to see United giving them a taste of their own medicine…something like a 5 million pound opening bid for Bale on the next day of Real’s ludicrous DeGea bid.

  2. DE GEA – HAVING DE GEA IN GOAL NEXT YEAR IS WORTH FAR MORE THAN #13 MILLION TO UTD.
