Manchester United could be about to tie David de Gea down to a new five-year Manchester United contract, according to the Spanish media outlet Marca. The deal is expected to be completed within the next 72 hours, just days after Jorge Mendes (his agent) was pictured at Carrington.
One thing you have to say about David de Gea is just how well he has handled the situation, He hasn’t spoken out of term once and just kept his head down and got on with what he is paid to do.
What a huge boost having David de Gea pen a new contract would be. It means that the cards would then be back in the hands of the club, despite the fact that there will probably be a release clause in the Spaniard’s new contract.
Hopefully we’ll now see him back in-between the sticks this weekend, and despite Sergio Romero’s best efforts his inexperience in the Premier League certainly shown against Swansea.
