David de Gea will stay at Manchester United

Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their quest to persuade David de Gea to stay at the club beyond the current season. The 24-year old has been in scintillating form this campaign, and that comes after winning United’s Player of the Year Award last season.

The former Atletico Madrid man is definitely one of the best keepers in the world at the current time, and according to his agent Jorge Mendes, he is set to stay in Manchester beyond this season.

“He has one year left on his contract and I think that he will stay in Manchester. The player will decide, but he’s happy there, at the moment.” The ‘super agent’ said.

This is huge, huge news, and it couldn’t have come from a source closer to the player. The fact that he has come out and said this also means a deal must be nearing, because why would he risk losing his client more money unless it wasn’t close to becoming a reality.
