David Moyes ‘confident’ Adnan Januzaj will sign a new Manchester United contract

Ahead of the Champions League tie against Leverkusen tomorrow, Moyes answered questions on various topics including diving, Wayne Rooney and utilising his squad with games coming thick and fast. The new boss declared himself happy with the way United are training, and he is excited to get the Champions League campaign underway tomorrow.

The boss was asked whether he feels confident the young Belgian will sign a new contract, and he simply replied “yes”. This is excellent news, if we tie Januzaj down to a five year deal, he’ll feel more confident in himself and hopefully begin to get more minutes on the pitch.

Moyes was also asked about why Januzaj has only been included on the Champions League B list for Manchester United, and he added that if he includes him on the A list at any point, he’ll never be able to feature for the U19 Champions League side.
