Although on loan at West Ham United, it’s always nice to keep up to date with our players. After picking up an injury yesterday, there were concerns about Jesse Lingard.

I think it’s fair to say nobody expected this sort of form from Jesse Lingard while on loan. He’s been West Ham’s best player as they fight hard for a spot in the Champions League next term.

The Englishman has been inspired by the move and who knows where his future lies? However, it’s always concerning to see United players go down following injury, whoever they’re playing for at the time.

Lingard would look in some discomfort during West Ham’s 3-2 loss to Newcastle United yesterday, leaving us all worried about how serious the problem is.

Well, an injury update has now been offered on the United loanee who limped off the field – and it’s a positive one.

Check out what the gaffer had to say on Lingard here:

“I think it was just cramp, I don’t think it was anything serious,” said Moyes, per The Metro.

I guess after playing so many games in quick succession, Lingard’s body was always going to feel the pain at some point. He went from barely playing, to starting week-in-week-out and now that’s seemingly catching up to him.

The fact that it’s nothing serious means Lingard will probably be right back to it next weekend as West Ham take on Chelsea in a game that could well define their season. Win and they’re looking in great shape to finish above their London rivals. Lose and it could be all over.

Moyes is going to want Lingard in tip-top shape for that one so hopefully, he gets a couple of days rest, before getting back out on the training field and gearing up for his biggest game of the season.

Is Lingard good enough to make it at Man United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
