David Moyes to be sacked

Reports in British Media have suggested that Manchester United are to sack beleaguered manager, David Moyes, following our 11th league defeat of the season at the hands of the Scot’s old side Everton yesterday.

Mark Ogden, who is a very reliable writer on all things United, claims that Moyes could face the axe before Saturdays home game against Norwich.

Other journalists from other newspapers also tweeted the same news within moments of each other.

The Manchester Evening News and Sky Sports tried to contact the club, who refused to deny the rumours, which is usually an ominous sign that the rumours are true.

Yesterday’s defeat to Everton was the 11th of the season, and meant we picked up just 6 points from the top 6 clubs. It also means that Everton, City and Liverpool all did the double over us this season.

Following Arsenals victory earlier in the day, it is now Mathematically impossible to reach the Champions League for next season.

We will of course report on any updates in this situation.
