Manchester United Football Club could be on the verge of parting with one of their recent transfers. Jose Mourinho and the board are trying to clear out some of the dead wood, and now it looks as though the first name out of the door could be Matteo Darmian.
Italian media outlet Calciomercato say that the 26-year-old has already agreed personal terms with Inter Milan, meaning that any potential winter window deal could well be drawing closer, although no official confirmation has happened as of yet.
With Antonio Valencia out injured alongside Eric Bailly, Darmian has been given a chance to prove his worth to Jose Mourinho in recent weeks. However, this latest news probably means he hasn’t done anywhere near enough to earn the trust of the manager at this point.
It would be a shame to see him depart from Old Trafford just like that, though. He made a fantastic start to the season under Louis van Gaal last year, and if he could rediscover that form, Darmian could definitely make that right-back spot his own.
