Dean Henderson frustrated at lack of playing time, to seek Man United exit if not given starting job: report

Dean Henderson is growing concerned about his lack of playing time at Manchester United.

Well, I guess it was only a matter of time before this happened. Dean Henderson hasn’t once let Manchester United down since being called upon this season. Now, he wants to take that next step.

The Englishman was only going to be content with Europa League and domestic cup competition action for a limited time. When he’s watching David de Gea make mistake-after-mistake, I can understand why Henderson’s frustration is starting to build.

Now, according to the Manchester Evening News, it’s reported that the emerging 23-year-old will seek an exit from United if his lack of Premier League playing time continues.

As of this moment, Henderson has started just two Premier League games. The MEN state that the shot-stopper has ‘no intention’ of playing second fiddle next term. Which is understandable.

It’s thought that Hendo has ‘expressed his dismay’ towards Solskjaer about a lack of opportunities, while interest in the Englishman would understandably be high.

Ole has a huge decision to make

We all knew it was coming, it was just a case of when. Solskjaer has to choose between De Gea or Henderson this summer and it’s a decision that could determine whether his time in the Old Trafford dugout is a success or failure.

My personal opinion has always been clear. It’s Henderson’s time. De Gea is making far too many mistakes right now while he’s looking like a shadow of his former self. When you combine that with Henderson’s impressive performances, it absolutely feels like the correct way to go.

Solskjaer has to make his decision and stick with it. It’s unfair on both these guys to try and share the minutes. De Gea is constantly looking over his shoulder while Henderson just wants to play. Whichever way this one goes, there’s going to be some upset folk on one side or the other…
