Dean Henderson is frustrated at a lack of opportunities to start games at Man Utd.
Just yesterday, we covered a claim from the Manchester Evening News, who suggested that Dean Henderson’s concerns were growing about playing time – particularly in the Premier League.
Now, that story has been backed up by the number one source in England in terms of reliability; Sky Sports News…
Apparently, the United star is ‘frustrated’ at a lack of playing time, making just two Premier League starts this season. The good news is that the boyhood Res fan would prefer to stay at the Theatre of Dreams.
Understandably, though, Henderson will ‘not entertain’ the prospect of sitting on the bench for another season.
If that’s the case, Henderson won’t be struggling for potential suitors. Right now, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund are leading that charge.
It’s claimed that Henderson’s five-year deal worth £120k-a-week could be problematic for Spurs, as they look to replace Hugo Lloris who is in the final year of his contract.
United’s English shot-stopper is open to the idea of playing abroad, though. While Dortmund’s pedigree and place in the Champions League could be an intriguing option to further his career. Again, though, I’m not sure Dortmund would be able to afford Henderson’s growing transfer fee.
Sky adds that Solskjaer is approaching the point where a massive decision has to be made. The Baby Faced Assassin is coming to the realisation that switching between Henderson and David de Gea is benefitting nobody. Thus, he has a choice to make.
The problem is, De Gea also has three years on his massive £375k-a-week contract. Even if he wants to move on from the Spaniard, it may prove rather tough…
