Dean Henderson has sent a classy message to the Man United fans after making his Premier League debut for the Red Devils.

Well, Manchester United left it late, didn’t they?! In the end, it’s the three points that matter whichever way you earn them. For what it’s worth, we definitely deserved it today.

The first half certainly didn’t go to plan, while we looked dead and buried 2-0 down. However, a spirited second 45, namely from Edinson Cavani, meant Manchester United were left celebrating at full-time.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn’t only sub Cavani on at half-time but also Dean Henderson too. The Englishman was called into action following an unfortunate injury suffered by David de Gea. Hendo definitely didn’t let us down though!

Making your United Premier League debut, under those circumstances, must not have been easy. Full credit to Henderson though, who made a couple of key saves early on – which would have certainly helped where his confidence is concerned.

For us, it was super-nice to see Henderson in Premier League action. We’ve been calling for him to get his chance all summer long and he definitely took that opportunity with both hands.

After the game, Henderson would take to Twitter to send a message to the United fans.

Check out what Henderson had to say here:

This lad just wants to play football for his beloved Manchester United, doesn’t he? He’s definitely good enough to do that too!

Henderson has worked his way up from the youth team, gone out on a few loans and earned his place in the Old Trafford setup. I guess it’s now down to how serious the injury to De Gea was.

If it’s a serious one, Henderson may well get the chance to consolidate his position within the starting line-up. If not, I’d suspect De Gea will be back into the team come midweek.

Congratulations Hendo! Richly deserved.
