Dean Henderson stormed out of Man United training: report

Dean Henderson has apparently walked out of a Man United training session…

The goalkeeper position has probably been Manchester United’s best position in terms of sheer quality over the last decade. That alone probably tells the story over our struggles since Sir Alex Ferguson decided to call it a day…

David de Gea has been world-class for many years. While in Sergio Romero and Dean Henderson, the Old Trafford club have unearthed some gems.

The English Henderson has been earmarked as someone who can take over the number one slot when De Gea finally calls it quits or moves on from the Theatre of Dreams.

However, this campaign has been a real struggle for Hendo. He’d spend the summer sidelined with both injury and Covid-19, which would all-but-end his number one hopes to start the campaign.

After limited playing time, things have now gotten even worse for Henderson. According to the Webby & O’Neil YouTube channel, the United star has ‘stormed’ out of the training ground recently…

Apparently, Ralf Rangnick had originally told Henderson he’d play against Villa in the FA Cup. However, the German boss would then change his mind and opt for De Gea.

When finding out he was snubbed for the start, Henderson took matters into his own hands and walked out of the training ground on Sunday.

That would explain why Henderson was then absent from the matchday squad altogether, as opposed to taking his place amongst the substitutes.

I do get Henderson’s frustration, I really do. Here at Old Trafford Faithful, we’re massive fans of the Englishman and I genuinely believe he’s got what it takes to be our number one in the not too distant future.

However, you absolutely cannot walk out of a training session and leave your teammates in the lurch like that. It’s no good for morale while it definitely does Henderson no favours in regards to getting in Rangnick’s good books.

I’d like to think that now a few more days have passed, Henderson has cooled off, understands he was wrong to do what he did and has apologised.

Is there a way back for Dean Henderson after this? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
