Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial have been named as ‘disgruntled players’, who are looking to move away from Man United.
Manchester United Football Club are heading in a different direction under Ralf Rangnick.
The German has fresh ideas and tactics he’d like to bring to the table – meaning some players who were regular starters under Ole Gunnar Solskajer are now being left out in the cold.
Two of those guys; Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial, are feeling the struggle at this point. That’s according to Tuttosport (Thursday print edition), with thanks to Sport Witness for the translation.
Apparently, the duo are named as ‘disgruntled players’ given their current situation at United. Hence, Juventus are looking to target both (amongst other players) for a potential January move.
The Turin outfit are looking in the bargain bucket right now, ‘sniffing out’ potential opportunities in the market, looking for their chance ‘to seize’ some good players at a cut-price cost.
Cavani’s time at Manchester United got off to a flier. He scored 17 goals last year, really endearing himself to the fans in the process. However, the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, coupled with some injury issues, have meant his minutes have been limited.
As for Martial, he’s been feeling the struggle for a while now. He just looks way off the pace, while his minutes haven’t increased under Rangnick. So-much-so that there is ‘no feeling’ between the Frenchman and the German.
With such a vast array of attacking talent at United’s disposal, perhaps it’s best for dressing room harmony to let these guys leave and move elsewhere. I’d love Cavani to see out his contract until the end of the season if I’m being completely honest, but as for Martial, I’m done with him. Sadly, he just doesn’t produce the goods for us anymore and his lack of interest at times is alarming…
