DONE DEAL: Man Utd miss out on highly rated Argentine midfielder

Manchester United have missed out on the signature of Argentinian midfielder, Enzo Perez. The 28-year old will sign for Valencia after his £23.5million buyout clause was reportedly met by the Spanish side, and the move will go through on January 2nd.

The midfielder made great strides in the footballing world last year, including an appearance with the Argentinian national team at the World Cup. No doubt he would’ve been a great addition to our squad, but I’m not exactly sure who he’d replace in the starting line-up.

A Valencia statement read:

“Valencia Club de Fútbol and SL Benfica have reached an agreement for the transfer of Enzo Nicolás Pérez, on a permanent deal that will be made official on January 2nd, 2015. The move is subject to the player passing a medical.

“The Argentinian international will arrive at Manises-Valencia airport at 11.25pm local time and will undergo a medical tomorrow under the supervision of the Valencia Club de Fútbol medical team.”

Perez won the Primeira Liga Player of the Season last campaign, as he helped Benfica win an impressive four trophies in the 2013/14 season.
