Manchester United’s pre-season tour was packed with young, emerging talents; largely due to several first-teamers taking part in the World Cup.
Since then, our academy products have been rapidly departing on loan. This time, it’s Axel Tuanzebe’s turn. The club have officially confirmed the young centre-back will be heading to Aston Villa for a twelve-month loan spell.
Tuanzebe, 20, spent the second half of United’s last campaign with the Midlands club working with former United player Steve Bruce. Now, he’s going to get a full season with Bruce, as he continues to hone and develop his talents.
All the best to Axel Tuanzebe, who has joined Aston Villa on loan for the 2018/19 campaign. #MUFC

After a pretty decent tour, Tuanzebe will be heading to Villa Park feeling confident about his chances of starting every week. Those all-important minutes are exactly what’s required at this stage in his career. Now, it’s down to the young man to go out there and prove his worth.
I don’t think it’s a stretch to suggest that Tuanzebe is a future Manchester United regular. He has leadership qualities, is a great tackler, he’s deceivingly quick, good in the air and forever learning. Time is definitely on his side, right now, this move away is the best thing for his career.
Good luck, Axel!
